This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of the Métis population in Canada who have knowledge of an Aboriginal language by age groups.
The Y axis is measured in percentages and increases in increments of two from 0 to 14.
The X axis is divided into six bars showing the age groups. On the X axis, from left to right, there is a bar for 14 years and under, 15 to 24 years, 25 to 44 years, 45 to 64 years, 65 to 74 years, and 75 years and over.
For those 14 years and under, 2% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
For 15 to 24 year-olds, 2% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
For 25 to 44 year-olds, 3% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
For 45 to 64 year-olds, 6% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
For 65 to 74 year-olds, 9% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
For those 75 years and over, 12% have knowledge of an Aboriginal language.
