Issues

Errors were detected with two 2006 Census topic-based tabulations on economic family status released on September 12, 2007.

A very small error was detected in the breakdown of persons in economic families as being either the reference person or not (with no impact on the number of persons not in economic families).

A conceptual classification error was detected concerning grandchildren living with grandparents where no parent of the grandchild is present; such a grandchild was classified as 'Other economic family member' rather than as 'Child of economic family reference person.'

Resolution

The affected two tables were corrected and re-issued.
