An urban area has a minimum population concentration of 1,000 persons
and a population density of at least 400 persons per square kilometre,
based on the current census population count.
'All territories' includes the Yukon, Northwest
Territories and Nunavut combined.
'Atlantic Provinces' includes Newfoundland and Labrador,
Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick combined.
Four regions comprise Inuit Nunaat which means 'Inuit
homeland' in the Inuit language. These four regions are: Nunatsiavut
in northern Labrador, Nunavik in northern Quebec, the territory of
Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit region in the Northwest Territories.
