Place of work refers to the location of work of non-institutional residents aged 15 and over who held a job the week prior to Census Day. However, if the person had not worked that week, the information relates to the job of longest duration since January 1, 2000.
Commuting distance refers to the distance, in kilometres, between the respondent's residence and his or her usual workplace location.
Mode of transportation refers to the main means a person uses to travel between home and place of work (by car, on foot, on public transit, or by some other means).
