Yukon name change

Geographic name changes may occur after the census and therefore could be reflected in various areas of the Statistics Canada website.

Effective October 20, 2008, the following name change has occurred:

Yukon Territory changed to Yukon

There is no change to the abbreviation (Y.T.). The 2006 Census products will maintain the name of the geographic area that was official when the census was taken (May 16, 2006).
