Geography products for the 2006 Census reflect both the changes to geography concepts as well as the more precise geometry and more detailed cartographic features (such as water, roads and road names). For 2006, cartographic boundary files (CBFs) replace digital cartographic files (DCFs), and digital boundary files (DBFs) are reintroduced. The road network file (RNF), which covers all of Canada, replaces the street network files (SNFs), which covered only large urban centres in Canada. Reference maps and other geographic products are available in a variety of media, including the Internet. Tools are provided for users to find and view their geographic area of interest on the Internet.
