Provides a specific statistical overview based on a number of variables and/or groups of variables for the Aboriginal identity population for various communities in Canada where the Aboriginal identity population is at least 250 persons.
Aboriginal identity refers to those persons who reported identifying with at least one Aboriginal group, that is, North American Indian, Métis or Inuit, and/or those who reported being a Treaty Indian or a Registered Indian, as defined by the Indian Act of Canada, and/or those who reported they were members of an Indian Band or First Nation.
This product will be released in two phases. The first portion of information will be disseminated with the official Aboriginal release on January 15, 2008 and will include data releases up to and including the Aboriginal release. The final portion will follow the last release of Income (June 4, 2008). The product will include approximately 200 data lines. A mapping feature is available for viewing the location of a community within Canada.
