Legend

Dissemination areas (DA) are outlined in a thin green line and labelled in green text with their six-digit code, surrounded by a green box.

Note that on this map, the DA UID is shown as a six-digit UID, not eight digits, due to space limitations on the map. The first two digits of the DA UID, representing the province/territory code, do not appear on the map. The remaining six digits represent the census division (CD) and DA.

Census tracts (CT) are outlined in a dashed red line. The focal CT name appears in the legend, while the surrounding CTs are labelled in red text. CTs available outside the target CT are shaded in a light grey.

Census metropolitan areas (CMA) or census agglomerations (CA) are outlined in a thick orange line. The focal C(M)A name and code appears in the legend, while the surrounding CMAs or CAs, where available, are labelled in dark grey text. CMAs or CAs available outside the target C(M)A are shaded in a medium grey.

Census subdivisions are outlined in a dashed purple line, and their name and type are labelled on the map with purple text.

Where available roads and water features are displayed and labelled on the map for reference purposes. Roads appear on the map in a thin grey line with small black font. Linear water features appear on the map as a thin blue line while water bodies are shaded blue; where available, they are labelled with a bold italicized blue font.

Where applicable, inset maps have been provided to permit greater visibility of the more congested areas.

All maps in this series are oriented to the north. A north arrow is provided to indicate orientation.

The maps vary in scale and size. Scale is expressed on this map as a representative fraction and also with a graphic bar scale.

The map projection for all maps is Lambert Conformal Conic utilizing specific provincial parameters. Census metropolitan areas and census agglomerations which cross provincial boundaries use the projection parameters associated with the provincial part which is larger in terms of land area. The projection parameters are provided for this map, including standard parallels, central meridian and latitude of origin.
